Welcome to our Travel Website

We are Paul & Barbara, we live in the Fantastic City of Liverpool, we are both now how shall we say left gainful employment , we are glad to be off the never ending work wheel of stress, I recommend getting off that wheel as soon as possible as life is too short and we have seen too many friends not get the opportunity to enjoy their retirement after saving for a rainy day that never happened. I was talking to a friend some years ago and I said that you have to go and do the things you want to do as you only live Once, his response was you have to do what you want to do now, as you only die Once. Anyway enough of that, along with our two travelling companions Jules & Verne we travel in Gloria our Campervan as often as time and funds allow. Our travel website and blog are slightly different to the well publicised sites as we do not try to sell you anything, do not ask you to buy us a coffee or stuff like that, we have no affiliation to any business that might try and sell you stuff and we do not have any advertising on our site.

Our travels have been on hold for a while due to that horrible Covid stuff and also after selling our previous van, we have had to wait 20 months for our new Gloria to arrive. Anyway she is here now and our travels can recommence, this year our travels will be confined to the UK and will be shorter trips than usual which is good in one respect as the blogs will be shorter but more frequent. Next year our trips will be longer both in time and distance.

Our blogs were originally started as reminders of our trips and so that family and friends could keep up to date with our travels, they are stories of our various trips which include, where we have been, what we have done and seen and again will have no links to items we have used, we will tell you if in our opinion we think they are any good or just a waste of money, and if we would return to places we have visited, that said the world is a big place and there are plenty more places we want to visit. 

Our family and friends have told us that our blogs are mildly amusing and that made us think that we should share them with you. As these are fun blogs written on our travels you may (probably will) find some incorrect spellings and grammatical errors, please expect them and accept them for what they are, it is fun time and does not take over our lives. You will notice that every object has a name and will be mentioned here and there mainly J&V who spend most of their time sitting on Gloria’s dashboard I will introduce the others to as as they get mentioned.

We will also share with you photographs from our trips these will probably include us acting daft, the beautiful scenery we find, the places we stay, we will often wild camp and hopefully we will be able to find some amazing stop overs. Our previous blogs are also on our site, some of which are fairly long as on a five and a half month trip I can rabbit on a bit, so if you are a bit board or having touch of insomnia have a read of our previous travels, you will either enjoy them or be asleep in no time at all.

We hope you enjoy our travels if you have any questions please ask away, the only thing I would say is no negativity it’s not good for any of us and there is enough of it in our world today, if you don’t like it please do not read what we have say, there are plenty of other sites to look at but we hope you enjoy this one.
